Supreme Council of Health announces new case of MERS-CoV in Qatar

Header_Logo-supreme councilThe Supreme Council of Health has registered a new case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus in a 48-year-old expat who suffers from chronic diseases and is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.

This is the second case in the country involving a non-Qatari.

A 23-year-old expatriate, who was recently declared MERS patient has recovered and left the hospital.

With this new case, it brings the total of MERS-CoV cases in Qatar to 8, with 3 cases ending in death.
